Roles

Journal Manager

The Journal Manager oversees the administrative configuration of the journal’s digital infrastructure. This role involves managing the web-based system, configuring operational options, and maintaining user account security. Beyond technical setup, the Journal Manager is responsible for enrolling the editorial board, including Editors, Section Editors, Reviewers, and technical staff. They also manage high-level features such as creating journal sections, designing review forms, customizing automated communications, and generating analytical reports on journal statistics.

Editor

The Editor serves as the primary strategist for the journal, establishing core policies and overseeing the complete lifecycle of a manuscript from submission to final publication. Key responsibilities include assigning manuscripts to Section Editors, monitoring editorial progress, and ensuring scholarly standards are upheld throughout the review and editing phases. The Editor is also responsible for issue management, which includes curating the Table of Contents, scheduling accepted papers for publication, and finalizing the digital release of each issue.

Section Editor

Section Editors provide focused management of individual manuscripts assigned to their specific area of expertise. They coordinate the peer-review process and, depending on the journal's internal policy, may also supervise the post-acceptance editing stages, including copyediting and production. Their role is vital in maintaining a timely and rigorous review cycle for every submission.

Reviewer

The Reviewer is an independent subject matter expert appointed by the Editor or Section Editor to evaluate the scientific merit and originality of a submission. Reviewers provide critical feedback through the journal’s online portal and may upload annotated files to assist Authors and Editors in improving the manuscript. Reviewer performance may be evaluated by the editorial team to ensure consistently high-quality feedback.

Author

Authors are the primary contributors to the journal, responsible for submitting original manuscripts and comprehensive metadata to enhance digital discoverability. Authors are encouraged to provide supplementary materials, such as datasets and research instruments, to foster transparent and robust scholarship. Throughout the process, Authors can track their manuscript's status in real-time and are required to collaborate with the editorial team during the copyediting and proofreading stages.

Copyeditor

The Copyeditor is responsible for refining the manuscript’s linguistic precision, ensuring grammatical accuracy and clarity. They collaborate with Authors to verify that all textual elements are in place and ensure strict compliance with the journal’s specific bibliographic and formatting styles. The final output of the Copyeditor is a polished, professional manuscript ready for layout and production.
