Information technology governance is becoming increasingly important as organizational needs grow, as it helps ensure that information technology can deliver optimal business value. This study analyzes the implementation of the APO05 domain across various organizational sectors using a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) approach. The SLR method was conducted in accordance with the PRISMA guidelines, which include the identification, screening, eligibility, and inclusion stages. The results of the study, based on 24 articles published between 2022 and 2026, indicate that the implementation of APO05 is widely applied in the private sector and the education sector. The most dominant research method was capability assessment using the COBIT 2019 framework, followed by the COBIT 2019 Design Factors approach. Capability results generally fell at the intermediate levels, namely Level 2 and Level 3. The findings of this study are expected to serve as a reference for academics and practitioners in developing the implementation of information technology governance using the APO05 domain.
